About

I’m Sandy Enness, the owner and artist with The Artful Beginner.

I grew up in mid-Michigan in an artistic and crafty family. Some sewed, some crocheted, some made jewelry, some were woodworkers, and some artists. I was an artist, creating drawings and paintings, with dreams of becoming a commercial artist when “I grew up.” I really wanted to work for Hallmark designing greeting cards.

I earned an art degree in design and marketing, and have spent most of my career working in communications, putting my art degree to good use.

Supporting my small business is greatly appreciated and I encourage you to support as many small businesses as you can, especially in the mid-Michigan area.

I will be donating a portion of my class fees each quarter to a local or national charity. This quarter, Footprints of Michigan, a statewide non-profit who empower those who are in need by providing warmth and dignity with footwear, is the designated charity.
